Band Directors

The Bradley Middle School Band is an award-winning music program and is part of the North East Independent School District in San Antonio, Texas.

The band directors are Karlos Elizono and Conner Smith.

Director of BandsKarlos Elizondo

Karlos Elizondo, a native of San Antonio and a product of NISD, is completing his 12th year of teaching. He received his formal education from Texas State University in 2005 and is in progress of receiving his Master’s degree. Prior to his arrival in the Judson ISD, Mr. Elizondo served as Grammar Hall Band Director at Regents School of Austin, where he worked with 5th and 6th grade bands. Mr. Elizondo also has extensive experience as a High School Band Director as well, serving as Asst. Band Director as Tom C Clark High School (Northside ISD), Director of Bands at McCollum High School (Harlandale ISD), and Assoc. Band Director and Choir Director at Burbank High School (San Antonio ISD). Mr. Elizondo has consistently led bands to Sweepstakes, Division 1 ratings, and consistently places in the top 3 at various competitions in and around Texas, both in concert band and jazz bands.

Associate Director of BandsConner Smith

Conner Smith, a native of San Antonio and a product of NEISD, joined the team at Bradley in 2020. He received his formal education from the University of Texas at San Antonio. In Mr. Smith’s first year, he was involved in co-teaching the Honor Band that received Sweepstakes in the UIL evaluation process. 

Mr. Smith is a bassoonist and has been playing since the 6th grade at Wood Middle School. After attending Roosevelt High School, he studied music education at UTSA. At UTSA he performed with the Wind Ensemble, Orchestra, and was the drum major for the Spirit of San Antonio Marching Band.

Mr. Smith married his beautiful bride Shelby in June of 2021.
